Summer of fun 💕
They say you have 18 summers with your children and after looking after some 10 year olds recently I’m not even sure you get that 😱 Of course your children will always want to spend time with you and go down the beach together but I cannot help but feel things will be different. Today has been amazing, in our little bubble of my tiny girl gang where my name is called 100 times, ‘’mummy watch me’’, ‘’help me’’, ‘’let’s go swimming’’, ‘’bury my feet’’ amongst a few! 😂 Alices swimming is coming on leaps and bounds and Margot who stood at the edge of the water last year (I did wonder if she was my child) has turned into a real water baby this year and we are having so much fun in the sea (now with Harriet on my hip!😂). I love this photo my friend took today unfiltered as this is how I want my girls to remember their childhood, with a mummy who played with them, took them in the sea (even when I was on crutches!) and despite not being the perfect size said take the photo as what I see and I hope they do too is happiness, real happiness, the type that brings a tear to my eye to remember today and every bit of their littleness, from the spilt ice-cream, the toddler tantrum, the giggles, the laughter and the 100% best days of my life. If I’m a little quiet on here at the moment it’s because I’m grabbing those 18 years with each of my hands and making memories to last a lifetime, like today when Harriet fell asleep breastfeeding on the waters edge 😍 So tell me, what have you all been upto and do you believe the 18 summers...?
